Exciting Announcement
I am extremely thrilled to announce that HCD is working to create a unified dance community between our School and the Omaha Academy of Ballet. This exciting partnership will combine the strengths and traditions of both organizations, allowing us to offer an even broader range of classes, performance opportunities, and expert, caring instruction. This unified organization will operate under the name Omaha Academy of Ballet, as its name has a strong history in Omaha since the 1960s.
You all know me in the role of Artistic Director at Heartland, and I want to clarify that I will continue in this leadership role as the Artistic Director of the newly unified organization, now operating under the name Omaha Academy of Ballet. I am deeply committed to maintaining the artistic integrity, warmth, and high standards you’ve come to expect, and I’m excited to guide this next chapter as we blend the strengths of both schools.
Our new unified community will provide the same exceptional, positive training and performance opportunities throughout the year. Heartland Conservatory of Dance will retain its current location at 132nd and Center Street, becoming the new OAB West Omaha location. The OAB studios at 319 N. 72nd Street will be the central location. Instructors will be scheduled at both locations.
Our goal is to create a vibrant, supportive environment where all dancers can thrive, grow, and deepen their love of dance. This union will allow us to maintain our shared commitment to artistic excellence and community, guided by a unified vision. It would also provide access to enhanced resources and benefits from the combined expertise and dedication of the staff and instructors from both organizations. Families will have the opportunity to register at either or both locations.
